Due to the success of the program that Michelle Lane created it is necessary to have an accreditation process for any other schools that are starting to use the combined method of the Montessori curriculum and Applied Behaviour Analysis.  This is the only way that we can assure parents that our program is being delivered in a quality manner.  If a school is an accredited program they will have their MAAA certificate displayed prominently in the school.

Currently, in order to be an accredited program you must attend the “Autism – A Montessori Approach” training, all staff who are working with the children must have a minimum of two years experience with children with autism.  A year review consisting of a three, six and nine month follow up on data collection is conducted by Michelle Lane.  If there are any problems we will work with the school to help them reach the level they need to reach in order to be an accredited program.  

We are currently working with the colleges in Toronto to give a college certification for this program.  Details will be posted on this website once we have more information.
