Current services

Founder of the blended method of Montessori and Applied Behaviour Analysis for children with autism.

Michelle’s Consulting and Training are based on her blended program used when she founded LMSA below:

The Lane Montessori School for Autism was previously called the Toronto Montessori School for Autism. TMSA was founded and owned by Michelle Lane and was started in 2003. The school ran as a not for profit clinic with no more than four children in a classroom. The school started out in its first location at Yonge and Eglinton, and then expanded to a second location at Greenwood and Mortimer in 2005. In 2006 the school moved to the beaches near Queen and Woodbine before changing into a registered charity called The Lane Montessori School for Autism in 2007. LMSA ran out of accredited Montessori schools in the east and west end of Toronto as well as in Georgetown.  In 2010 the school had to close due to a lack of funding and the new HST tax that was introduced in Ontario.

The model worked very well for children on the spectrum.  Toronto Montessori School for Autism was the first of its kind in the world but the model has since spread internationally.
