The Toronto Montessori School For Autism
The Lane Montessori School for Autism was previously called the Toronto Montessori School for Autism. TMSA was founded and owned by Michelle Lane and was started in 2003. The school ran as a clinic with no more than four children in a classroom. The school started out in its first location at Yonge and Eglinton, and then expanded to a second location at Greenwood and Mortimer in 2005. In 2006 the school moved to the beaches near Queen and Woodbine before changing into a not for profit organization that is now called The Lane Montessori School for Autism.
LMSA was founded in the summer of 2007 and is in the process of applying for charitable status in order to service the needs of families and Montessori schools alike.
